Thank you For A Great 2022 Fall Fest

FALL FEST WAS A SUCCESS!

Thank you to the 75+ families who joined us on a beautiful (and windy) Saturday to help support the PTA and give back to the Prairie Children Preschool families and staff! We loved seeing the different costumes and Halloween face paint on our smiling children, and likewise, we hope you loved dancing along with the bubbles, coloring some sugar skulls, playing our bean bag/ring toss games, and voting on your favorite pumpkin!

Pumpkin Contest

Speaking of pumpkins... we don't know about you, but we had a tough time voting on just ONE pumpkin. The creativity and execution and silliness truly impressed us all. Well done, preschoolers! 👏 And even though we thought every pumpkin was a winner, there were four pumpkins who get to boast 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (tie) place prizes. Congrats to the winners, and thank you to all classrooms who participated!

Does anyone else have "My pumpkins, my pumpkins, my four groovy pumpkins" stuck in their head? That's how that song goes, right...?

Fall Fest Raffle Winners

Raffle winners

Another big hit was our raffle table. We were proud to display the array of amazing gifts and donations from local favorites and neighborhood friends. From book bundles to movie tickets, and princess-themed baskets to soccer-themed baskets, we made sure there was something for everyone. Congratulations to our winners, whom we will contact individually. The winning draws can also be viewed in the video below.

Another big THANK YOU to our local businesses who supported us: Anderson's, Fox Valley Mall, Hollywood Palms Cinema, Sports Clips and First Place Spirit Wear. First Place Spirit Wear is our new year-round spirit wear online store.

Thank you to the the 71 volunteers from the faculty of Prairie Children Preschool, their loved ones and the local high school students from Waubonsie and Neuqua. We're sure you interacted with these smiling faces who helped check you in, pass out snacks to ward off the hanger, take family photos (bonus if your kid/s looked AND smiled at the camera), run the games and bubbles, assist with crafts, and ensure the sensory bins weren't getting eaten (dragon scales have an eery resemblance to candy corn). These wonderful volunteers also helped with the behind the scenes logistics of setting up and cleaning up. Thank you, volunteers! If it weren't for your help, we might still be at the school cleaning up.
